How ALLINBKLYN Works

ALLINBKLYN is a women's philanthropic initiative that is loosely modeled on the traditional giving circle.  Members meet four times in each grant making year, starting in October and ending in May.  Individual members bring nonprofits to the group’s attention and members get to know these nonprofits through proposal solicitation, site visits, and lively presentations and discussion.  Meetings are structured to afford members a balance of boundaries and freedom to determine which Brooklyn nonprofits will benefit best from ALLINBKLYN funding.  ALLINBKLYN set up a fund with The Brooklyn Community Foundation which provides limited oversight and administrative support for ALLINBKLYN’s grant making activities.

ALLINBKLYN does not accept unsolicited grant proposals.
